Actress Komal Jha Photo Shoot

Actress Komal Jha was working as an engineer in Dubai when an accidental visit to a shopping mall changed her life for ever. Malyalam director Sam Abraham spotted her and offered to cast her in the lead in his movie, 24 Hours, thus began her tryst with the silver screen. "I know that's a crazy story, but I guess that's destiny," says Komal who is looking to break into Tollywood. She is awaiting the release of two of her films — Varun Sandesh starrer Priyathama Neevachata Kushalama and Chinna Cinema directed by Arjun Kambampati.


"Priyathama. . . is a cute love story directed by Trinadh. I play an urban girl in the movie and it's come out really well. Chinna Cinema is an off beat comic entertainer. Both the movies are set to release in next couple of months so I'm keeping my fingers crossed," says Komal. A civil engineer by vocation, Komal comes from a family of academicians and she calls herself "the odd one out." "I come from an orthodox Brahmin family based in Ranchi. My dad is a philosopher and published author so I am a bit of a rebel in the family. Let's see how it goes from here," says Komal.





Komal Jha comes from an orthodox Brahmin family based in RanchiJharkhand. Her father is Philosopher and a published Author Dr. Shyama Nand Jha. Komal Jha studied in DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali School situated in the MECON Colony in Ranchi. Komal Jha and Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni lived in the same colony in Ranchi.Komal moved toBangalore for further education. She has BE degree in Civil Engineering from MSRIT. She was her Department Topper and was placed on-campus by a reputed Construction Firm located in Dubai. Komal worked for a year there and resigned her job to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.
